Messaging policy

How text messaging works in Wheelhouz products, how consent is obtained, how often we message, and how to stop.

Scope

This policy covers text (SMS) messages sent by products operated by Merkato LLC, doing business as Wheelhouz. Today one program sends messages: BHQ account invitations. Programs are added here as sections when a product introduces messaging.

Our privacy policy describes how phone numbers and consent records are handled. In short: we do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

BHQ account invitations

Program name. BHQ account invitations.

Sender. Merkato LLC, doing business as Wheelhouz, operator of BHQ (bhq.app).

What the messages are. A single transactional message containing a one-time sign-in link that lets an employee accept an invitation to their employer’s BHQ account. Nothing else is sent through this program: no reminders, no notifications, no marketing.

Who receives them. Employees of commercial cleaning and building service businesses that use BHQ. A message is sent only when an administrator at the employer initiates an invitation for that employee.

Consent is confirmed by the employer’s administrator at the point the mobile number is entered, inside the BHQ admin console.

  1. An administrator opens the employer’s account in the BHQ admin console and invites an employee by entering the employee’s name and mobile number.

  2. Before the invitation can be sent, the console shows this notice, which is the consent record for a business-initiated invite:

    By sending this invitation you confirm this person has agreed to receive a text message from BHQ containing a one-time sign-in link. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy.

  3. When the administrator confirms, BHQ sends one message to that number with the invitation link.

BHQ records the number, the administrator who entered it, the employer account, and the date and time of confirmation. The in-product consent disclosure is also published in the BHQ privacy policy at bhq.app/privacy-policy, section 4, “How we obtain your consent”.

Message frequency

One message per invitation. An employee normally receives a single message. If an invitation expires or is lost, an administrator may re-send it, which produces one further message.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Wheelhouz does not charge for messages.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message from BHQ and you will receive one final confirmation that you are unsubscribed; no further messages are sent to that number, including re-sent invitations. If you still want to join your employer’s account, ask your administrator to invite you by email instead.
